The multi-award winning Brenda Blethyn returns for series nine of ITV's successful crime drama series Vera, released on DVD 25th February 2019 from ITV Studios Home Entertainment.

Based on the award-winning novels by Ann Cleeves, Vera is the long-running contemporary series with a mixture of complex and intriguing cases tackled by DCI Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn), an obsessive but strong and driven detective who will do what ever it takes to find those who are responsible.

Set in the beautiful north of England, the series mixes both compelling procedural crime cases with the atmospheric English Countryside.
