30 years ago, Libby Day (Charlize Theron) became the sole survivor of the horrific massacre that claimed her entire family with the exception of her older brother (Corey Stoll), the one who pulled the trigger.

However, when new evidence is uncovered pointing to Ben's innocence Libby's whole life is turned upside-down. Together with amateur private investigator Lyle (Nicholas Hoult), Libby mut confront the ghosts of her violent past to find out the truth of what happened that fateful night.
