Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen follows her hilarious popularity battle with Carla Santini (Megan Fox), the trend setting bully at her new school and her quest to meet her idols, rock band Sidarthur-'the greatest poets since Shakespeare'. Befriending the school nerd Ella (Alison Pill) who shares her obsession with Sidarthur, they set about having a night neither will forget and the school will never believe.

Synopsis

For Lola Cep - who was plain old Mary until she adopted a cooler name - the tiniest impediment to her dream of becoming a famous actress is a major catastrophe. So imagine her horror when her single mother moves them from swanky Manhattan to suburban New Jersey. She finds herself in a new school, where Carla Santini has already claimed the title of most popular girl. Aiming to dethrone Carla as queen of cool, Lola sets her sights on the lead role in the big school production, which Carla is also hoping to win.

As the two girls wage a popularity war, Carla gains the upper hand by obtaining tickets to a sold out farewell concert of Lola's favourite band, Sidarthur. Unable to bear the taunting, Lola claims that she and her preppy friend, Ella, already have tickets. They set about making the lie into reality but everything that could go wrong does and it seems that they will never make their dreams come true. However Lola's 'never take no for an answer' attitude leads them to a fairy-tale ending.
