There's a new heartthrob doctor in town as Dr. Luka Kovac joins the staff at the Chicago County General teaching hospital in ER : The Complete Sixth Season from Warner Home Video debuting on DVD on 3rd April 2006.

Anthony Edwards, Noah Wyle and Alex Kingston return alongside new recruits in the dramatic four-disc set featuring all 22 episodes from the season. Originally broadcast in 1999 / 2000 the drama continues in ER: Season 6 with the arrival of new staff members in the shape of Dr Luka Kovac (Goran Visjinc) and Dr Cleo Finch (Michael Michele). Season highlights include an explosion in a high school science lab which brings many patients to the hospital, Carol goes into labour and someone gets stabbed...

Attending Physician Dr. Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards) is devastated by the death of his mother and when his father is diagnosed with cancer he must rely on Corday (Alex Kingston) for support. At the hospital Weaver hires Dr. Gabriel Lawrence (Alan Alda), a distinguished-looking physician reputed to be a founding father of emergency medicine without consulting Greene.

After witnessing the interaction between a dying woman and her family, Hathaway realises she wants her family together and flies to Seattle to join Ross. George Clooney makes a surprise appearance in the last episode for series star Julianna Margulies.

Now a senior resident, Dr. John Carter (Noah Wyle) becomes involved with Elaine (Rebecca De Mornay) early in the season but is struck by tragedy when he is stabbed and Abby discovers that he has been illegally injecting pain relievers to cope. Greene and Weaver confront Carter about his problem ordering him to enter a drug rehabilitation center or leave the hospital permanently.
