Bruce Willis returns as John McClane in one of the most explosive entries in the Die Hard franchise, as Die Hard with a Vengeance makes its 4K Ultra HD debut on 7th December 2026. The acclaimed 1995 action thriller, directed by John McTiernan, will be released in a collectible SteelBook edition alongside the first two films, completing the original trilogy's arrival on the format.

This time, the action returns to New York City, where a troubled and suspended John McClane finds himself targeted by a mysterious criminal calling himself Simon (Jeremy Irons). After a devastating explosion in Manhattan, Simon forces McClane into a series of increasingly dangerous challenges, threatening further destruction unless his demands are met. Reluctantly joining the detective is Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), a Harlem shopkeeper who becomes caught up in the escalating crisis. Together, the unlikely partners must race across the city, solving elaborate puzzles and attempting to prevent further attacks.

Reuniting Bruce Willis with original Die Hard director John McTiernan, Die Hard with a Vengeance takes the franchise in a different direction, abandoning the isolated locations of its predecessors in favour of a sprawling, city-wide thriller. The chemistry between Willis and Jackson provides much of the film's energy and humour, while Jeremy Irons delivers a suitably calculating adversary whose elaborate plans keep the protagonists constantly on the move. Combining spectacular action sequences with an intricate game of deception, the third instalment remains a favourite among many franchise enthusiasts.

The December release represents the film's first appearance on 4K Ultra HD, bringing another major action title from the 1990s to the format.
