Harry Sanborn (Jack Nicholson) is a perennial bachelor who only dates women under the age of 30. On what was to have been a romantic weekend with his latest infatuation, Marin (Amanda Peet), at her mother's beach house, Harry develops chest pains. Marin's mother Erica Barry (Diane Keaton), a successful, divorced playwright, reluctantly agrees to help nurse him back to health.

Alone together, Harry is surprised to find himself drawn to Erica for all the right reasons. And despite her initial protestations about Harry, Erica finds herself rediscovering love. Romantic complications arise when Erica is pursued by Harry's charming young doctor, Julian Mercer (Keanu Reeves). When Harry's feelings for Erica prove to be life altering, he must undergo a true change of heart if he is to win her back. Something's Gotta Give proves that in matters of the heart, it pays to expect the unexpected!

Diane Keaton (Erica Barry) reaffirms her position as a Hollywood A-list actress with her heartfelt portrayal of divorced playwright Erica Barry, earning her a Golden Globe award and an Oscar nomination in the process. Her filmography includes such classics as Annie Hall, Father of the Bride and The First Wives Club.

Keanu Reeves (Julian Mercer) is best known for his starring role as Neo in The Matrix trilogy. A multi-talented actor, his impressive film credits include hits such as Dangerous Liaisons, Point Break, Speed and The Devil's Advocate.

Amanda Peet (Marin) is a leading lady in the making. Peet recently starred in Identity opposite John Cusack and will shortly appear in the much-anticipated The Whole Ten Yards alongside Bruce Willis and Matthew Perry.

Writer, producer and director, Nancy Meyers is best known for her well crafted portrayals of amusing family situations. Her most famous projects include Father of the Bride I and II, What Women Want and The Parent Trap.
