The phenomenally successful box office sensation Just Friends will be hitting the streets on rental and retail DVD on 15th May 2006 courtesy of Momentum Pictures. If you've ever been trapped in the dreaded 'friend zone', you'll know just what it's like to have an incurable crush on someone who sees you only as a friend and confidante. Relegated to a living hell where disappointment is the only reward, there's often little hope of a promotion to boyfriend/girlfriend status.

In reality, this is not a particularly funny situation to be in of course, but Just Friends takes on this scenario to wickedly entertaining effect. An irresistible romp that seamlessly crosses the divide from chick flick to chick fest, you won't be able to resist this laugh a minute feast of fun and gross out humour.

Synopsis

In High School, Chris Brander (Reynolds) was sweet, fat and "just friends" with the girl of his dreams. Ten years later, he's a successful and good-looking music executive whose past rejection has turned him into an arrogant womaniser. When he gets stranded in his hometown with his latest signing - IT girl/pop sensation Samantha James (Faris) he meets up with his high school crush, Jamie Palamino (Smart) and discovers his feelings for her are as fresh as ever.

With stiff competition in the form of reinvented Dusty Dinkleman (Klein) - another member of his High School's loser group- will Chris finally be able to move his relationship out of the friend zone?
